Editorial standards
Facts. Documents. Context. Accountability.
This platform has a clear political identity. Its evidence system does not bend to it.
Rule 01
Primary sources first
Court records, audit reports and official documents come before reporting about them.
Rule 02
Allegations must be labelled
An allegation is published as an allegation, never as a finding.
Rule 03
Court findings must be reported accurately
We report what the court found, in the terms the court used.
Rule 04
Government responses are included
Where a response exists on the record, it is published alongside the issue.
Rule 05
No fabricated statistics
If a figure cannot be sourced, it is not published.
Rule 06
No fabricated quotations
Quotations are reproduced only from a documented record.
Rule 07
No manipulated video
Video is published only where its provenance can be described.
Rule 08
No ethnic hate speech
Divisive rhetoric is documented and attributed; it is never amplified or endorsed.
Rule 09
Corrections must be published
Errors are corrected openly and logged.
Rule 10
Evidence comes before emotion
Strong language is never a substitute for a source.
Evidence status labels
Every issue, evidence item and record carries one of these labels. They describe the strength of the evidence — they are not scores, rankings or ratings.
Fact-check status labels
What is never published automatically
- Accusations
- Anonymous claims
- Social-media allegations
- Unverified statistics
- Defamatory statements
- Claims of criminality without supporting evidence
Every evidence item must carry a source, a date, a publisher, a URL or document, and a verification status. Submissions are reviewed before anything is published.
